ONNA: GOV'S AIDE MOBILIZES WOMEN FOR UDOM'S RE-ELECTION

Still in the spirit of festivity, an aide to the Governor on Projects, Mrs. Uduak Markey, has mobilised women across the three villages of Oniong West Ward 2 in ONNA LGA for Gov. Udom Emmanuel's re-election for a second term in office.

The get together held in Ukpana village over the weekend  was organized to unify the women and further woo more supporters in the community ahead of the Feb. 16th and March 2nd general election respectively.

She appreciated all the women for coming out enmass despite their very tight schedules to celebrate the new year with her,  and also for giving support to Governor Udom Emmanul throughout his first term in office.

Mrs. Markey stated  that she came to solicit  their support for the Governor and all the candidates of the PDP in the forthcoming election.

She said that  the three villages comprising Ukpana, Ikot Abasi, Akpabom, has been a strong hold of the PDP and as such, everyone should be ready to return PDP 100/100.

The aide to the Governor promised the women that when the Governor is reelected, the yearnings of the people will be addressed as the Governor will give his utmost priority to mitigating their challenges.

Collaborating the stance of the aide to the Governor, the Ukpana village mobilizer, Mrs. Christiana Ikpe said there is nothing benefiting as having a Governor from home.

She stated that since the emergence of the Governor, there are seeable developments that has benefited the people immensely.

She urged the women to keep their PVC's intact and be prepared to use it to return the Governor for a second term for more dividends of governance.

The former Councilor of the ward, Hon. Kingsley Johnny, in his remark said that Governor Emmanuel has performed so well and deserves to be voted back into office.

He stressed that the only way that can be achieved is by collecting the PVC's and ensuring it is used on the election day.

In her closing remark the vice chairman, Obongawan Comfort Umoette encouraged the women not to be intimidated.

She urged the women to be armed  with their PVC's and go out to vote massively for the the governor and all candidates of the PDP on the election day.
