RE-LOCATION OF EXXON MOBIL TO AKS IS ON SIGHT — AKS INFO BOSS, CHARLES UDOH KSJ

Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Charles Udoh KSJ, has said, with the 21-storey smart building on ground, coupled with the infrastructural development in the state, the relocation of EXXON Mobil to Akwa Ibom State is on sight.

The Information Boss who has been on a sustained media campaign on  the Akwa Ibom project across different independent and privately-owned Radio stations, was early today appearing Live on Inspiration Radio 105.9 where he expressed with optimism that EXXON MOBIL and other Internal Oil Companies, IOCs will soon be re-located to Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital as Governor Udom Emmanuel has put in place most of what the IOCs have been yearning for.
"With the conducive environment provided by government, the various investment opportunities put in place and the massive industrialization of the state, then the re-location of EXXON Mobil and other International Oil companies to Akwa Ibom will not be negotiable. For years the IOCs have been complaining of lack of a conducive and suitable office accommodation for them in Uyo. Now, with the 21 storey smart building, EXXON Mobil will have no excuse or any other reason not to re-locate to Uyo", Charles Udoh said.
Speaking on the recently issued circular on "Arrest of pupils/students if found loitering during school hours", the Commissioner for Information said, it was very apt to exert control on culprits who are out to flout government's free and compulsory policy, which allows all Akwa Ibom children and indeed all children residents in Akwa Ibom State to have their free basic education, from the Primary to the senior secondary education level free.

On the scorecard of Governor Udom Emmanuel during his first term, Udoh reiterated that, the Governor has performed creditably well, not only delivering on his Five-point Agenda but receiving accolades and commendations for his impactful and people-oriented governance across the globe, one of which was the Integrity and National Service Award presented to the Governor, right at the Aso Rock Villa by the Presidency.
He stressed that Governor Udom Emmanuel is poised to make Akwa Ibom State a model in development and industrialization for Nigeria added that the completion agenda of the Governor is designed to consolidate on the Five point Agenda of the first tenure and listed them to include wealth creation, job creation, poverty alleviation, infrastructural consolidation and expansion as well as Economic and Political inclusion.

Udoh said Governor Udom Emmanuel's plans for his second term in office  is hinged on the Completion Agenda and enumerated front burner sectors in the blue print to include: Aviation development, Rural and Riverine/Coastal areas development; Security, Small and Medium scale enterprises and Human capital development.

He said the cardinal point in investing in human capital development was to ensure that, Akwa Ibom sons and daughters have the necessary professional qualifications and technological capacity to man or work in the numerous companies and industries now operating in the state.

Stressing that, the diversification of the state's economy is to make the state more economically vibrant and investment-oriented, Udoh said, all industries in the State are running smoothly and disclosed that, the Electric Metering Solutions company which is daily producing and distributing meters for use in homes across the state and for purchase by PHEDC, has recently sent some of its staff to South Africa for training to boost their productivity when they returned.

Maintaining that, all these wouldn't have been achieved if the state was not safe for investors, the Information Boss said, Akwa Ibom has been reported as being the safest in Nigeria by the Nigeria Police, Security Agencies and operatives, and urged all to maintain this conducive atmosphere for more investments to come into the state, emphasizing that, Governor Udom Emmanuel is poised to leave Akwa Ibom by 2023 as a completely industrialized State and not a construction site.
